Home Stretch

Laura as Good Queen Bess
We are in the final two weeks of this school year. We are pushing pretty hard to finish on time.

Emma and Sarah are doubling up on math lessons. Sarah and Laura have been doing at least 1 chapter a day in history, and we have 1 1/2 more chapters to go in their science.

Emma and Annie are going to be doing experiments next week for science, as well as tons of literature and essays.

Laura finished her math and language arts programs this week, freeing her up to practice like crazy for the upcoming recital.

Emma and Sarah have been rushing to finish as many badges and journeys as possible before they bridge up in Girl Scouts, also on the last day of school.

These two girls also have a dance performance coming up in June, and have been tapping all over the house.

Annie's Shakespeare performance was also earlier this month. The lead up to the performance was pretty crazy. She had rehearsals sometimes 3x a week for several hours each day. Some rehearsals were all day! It was a great performance. I will post pictures once I get some from my dad.

Annie was Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream. She did a wonderful job, stayed in character and had a blast! She even got to slap a boy, hard!

Now, she is trying to cram in all the work she missed, plus everything she lost when her laptop died. She is caught up in Algebra 2, and almost in Spanish 2. Her laptop died just before spring break. She was supposed to work thru spring break because of her 10 days in San Diego. When we finally put in a new hard drive (after spring break), all her work from the first semester onward, was lost, so she had to begin again on lesson 1! She has been doing Spanish  for hours everyday.

We are all looking forward to the end of the school year. This time is so hectic!
